Dr. Musiek’s research expertise is in the role of circadian clocks in the brain and in Alzheimer’s Disease and other neurologic disorders. His research efforts focus on circadian rhythms in the brain and the molecular mechanisms linking circadian clocks to neurodegeneration. His clinical expertise is in Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias. He is a practicing neurologist who sees patients in the Memory Diagnostic Clinic at Washington University, and is a member of the Knight Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Dr. Musiek leads the COBRAS Mouse Core, and provides expertise in both mouse and human circadian rhythm research.
